Ibertren serie 8000 seats
DESIGN and print
Two months ago, i bought six Ibertren wagons of Renfe rail company, originally produced in the '70s/80s. All of Them are all in excelent conditions except for a smal damage on the bottom side of a wagon, both decals and color has no scratch. I edcided to open them and, not a big surprise, the interior parts where the same eather for 1st and 2nd class as well the sleeping wagons
This original parts has many closed passages, of course some compartments may be closed, but according to historical photoes found on internet, the walls between the corridor and the compartments and their doors were many made of glasses; Furthermore there are not obstacles or closure anywhere in the corridor. What sould i saymore? Excellents supports for external cristals that otherwise they would fall down easly but they are for sure unaestethic, expecially in anticipation of coach enlighting. There are also not details like headrests or beds.
I finally decided to reproject and print a new one version of them.
Let's Start analysing the sleeping cars: P accoarding to the photoes founded on-line seems like that there are six beds for each compartament, so i did it; even thougt it can not be appreciate in the photos on all bottom and middle beds there are small rectangoular pillows. This last element is not been reproduced on the top bed because it couldnt be seen once placed the internal part, in the wagon body.
1st and 2nd class are quite similar: big glasses (that reach the top part of the seats) between the corridor and the compartments and, for each side of the compartments there are headrests and armrests: 2 of them for 4 people in the 2nd class and 3 for 3 people in the 1st class.
At this point, one last thing was missing to complite the work: painting them all; Few hour later this was the result:
Acordind to the historical photoes 2nd calss wagons had blu seats light wood wals and red wood floor, same color for 1st cass wagons but headrests that were white. About the beds in the sleeping wagons, blankets were blu or dark green, for this reason and for ease i colored all of them in blue leaving sheets and pillows in white.
Unfortunatly the photos that i've done do not entirely show the excelent result that i obtained and that can be appreciate by naked eye. anyway i added below some photoes that help to give an idea of the ended work (Photos are made after installing the lighting system, in order to stand out the new internal parts and give a more realisticism to the model.

As last a short movie of the convoy pulled by an Ibertren digitalized and enlighted A Renfe Mitsubishi 269 locomotive colored in "estrella" livery. The trin goes fast but you can still appreciate the different colors of the seats inside the wagons.
